When Kenneth Ekornes invites you to Ekornes i 100, it’s not your typical concert – it’s a playful musical experience where kids don’t just sit and listen, but become part of what’s happening.
On stage, he brings more than 100 instruments from around the world. Drums, small percussion, strange sounds, and homemade creations – everything comes into play as he builds a vivid soundscape right in front of the audience. Here, kids get to join in: clapping, singing, moving, and playing along with him.
Throughout the concert, he takes the audience on a musical journey – from jungle to desert, from the depths of the ocean to busy cities – and invites children to guess where the sounds and instruments come from. Stories, rhythm, and imagination come together in a format made for curious ears.
Kenneth Ekornes is one of Norway’s most experienced percussionists, with a career that spans collaborations with artists like Mari Boine and Annbjørg Lien, as well as children’s performances across the country. Ekornes i 100 has already captivated thousands of young audiences through The Cultural Schoolbag – and it’s easy to see why.
This is a concert where it’s okay to join in – not just sit still. Kids get to use their bodies, their voices, and their curiosity. Bring the children and step into something you can actually experience together.

CosmopoLITEN is a brand new concert series for children at Cosmopolite in Soria Moria. Here we invite young audiences to experience live music in a safe and playful setting — close to the musicians and in a format designed for curious ears.
Bring the family and spend half a morning in our local cultural castle, with a concert, activities, coffee for the adults, and (not too unhealthy) treats for the kids.
