Every life experience has its own song, says Zoryana Dybovska – founder of Yagody from Lviv in Western Ukraine. The band was born when a group of theater students began traveling through different regions of Ukraine, collecting songs, traditions, and stories from the people they encountered. The result is a vibrant musical mosaic of love, life, and myth, where powerful vocals intertwine with drums, guitar, accordion, and dulcimer.

The name Yagody – meaning “berries” – was given to them spontaneously during their very first concert and has since grown into one of the most charismatic folk music ensembles in Ukraine. With a stage production inspired by the dramaturgy of theater, they create performances that feel like one continuous ritual – a journey into both inner silence and the mythical soundscape of their ancestors.

Yagody has already performed at major festivals and venues in Sweden, Norway, France, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Audiences all over Europe have been captivated by their hypnotic vocal dances and powerful rhythms.
