Oslo Kulturnatt: Mikkel Rev

Mikkel Rev is a relatively new folk-rock group bringing traditional music onto the modern dance floor. With roots in the Hardanger fiddle and rock & roll, old folk tunes are reimagined in a fresh and festive way. They call it garage folk. Here, gut strings and fuzz pedals come together in glorious harmony.

The band released their album Ingen Ro last year and has already started making a name for themselves on concert stages around the country.

Mikkel Rev consists of Ola Even Hogstad Hagen on drums, Magnus Øydvin on Hardanger fiddle and vocals, Hans Mikkel Melhus on electric guitar and vocals, and Mats Nystam on vocals and electric bass.
