A new musical encounter between Polish jazz, Moroccan Gnaoua and electronic sounds. During Polish Film Days – Polske filmdager 2026, Adam Pierończyk, Majid Bekkas and DJ Eprom will perform together on stage for the very first time.

Polish saxophonist Adam Pierończyk is regarded as one of the leading innovators in Polish jazz. Across a career spanning nearly 30 albums, he has developed a sound shaped by improvisation, melodic freedom and exploratory interplay. He has collaborated with musicians including Sam Rivers, Archie Shepp, Miroslav Vitouš, Bobby McFerrin, Jeff «Tain» Watts, Tomasz Stańko and Trilok Gurtu.

Here, he joins forces with Majid Bekkas – a Moroccan vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist deeply rooted in the Gnaoua tradition. Through the guembri, kalimba and his voice, Bekkas brings together the hypnotic rhythms of Gnaoua with jazz and music from North and West Africa. His collaborators include Joachim Kühn, Archie Shepp, Pharoah Sanders, Louis Sclavis and Aly Keïta.

Completing the trio is DJ Eprom, a key figure in Polish hip-hop and electronic music. As a DJ, turntablist and producer, he uses turntables, beats and scratching as fully fledged musical instruments. He is a two-time International DJ Association World Champion and a five-time winner of Poland’s Fryderyk music award.

Together, they create an open musical landscape where Gnaoua, electronics, beats, scratching, improvisation and jazz intertwine. Three distinct musical voices come together in a project built around spontaneity, rhythmic power and new connections across traditions.
