Alceu Valença in Norway for the first time!

When Alceu Valença turns 80, it is being celebrated with a tour that looks back on a lifetime in music – while bringing him to Norway for the very first time.

For decades, Alceu Valença has been one of Brazil’s most beloved and distinctive artists. Rooted in Pernambuco, he has created a sound where northeastern Brazilian traditions meet rock, poetry, carnival spirit, and modern pop. The result is music that carries history forward while still feeling vibrant and current.

On stage, he performs the songs that made him an institution in Brazilian culture: “Anunciação,” “Belle de Jour,” “Tropicana,” “Como Dois Animais,” and “Táxi Lunar” – songs sung by generations, at festivals, in stadiums, and in homes across Brazil.

The concert is also a journey through the rhythms and colours of Recife and Olinda, where frevo, maracatu, and forró continue to pulse through his music. With a full band, striking visuals, and an artistic energy that refuses to fade, Alceu Valença shows why he remains one of the greats.
