St. Paul & The Broken Bones return to Cosmopolite on February 11, and we’re glad to welcome them back. For those who’ve seen them here before — in 2024 or at their first Oslo show back in 2017 — you’ll know this is a band that puts their heart into every note.
Formed in Birmingham, Alabama in 2011, the group blends soul, funk, gospel, and rock into something that feels both grounded and fresh. Lead singer Paul Janeway is a powerhouse on stage — his voice full of nuance, emotion, and strength.
Their latest self-titled album marks a new phase. Recorded at the legendary Fame Studios and produced by Eg White (known for his work with Adele and Celine Dion), the record brings them closer to their soulful roots, with songs like “Sushi and Coca-Cola” and “Going Back” standing out as both thoughtful and deeply felt.
They’ve opened for The Rolling Stones, played Glastonbury and Coachella, and were hand-picked by Elton John for his Oscar party. Not bad company to keep.
If you're drawn to music that’s honest and alive — and a band that knows how to connect with an audience — this is a show worth catching.
