Nubiyan Twist

The London-based music collective Nubiyan Twist first performed at Cosmopolite in 2022, and now they are back with a new album Find Your Flame!

Nubiyan Twist is a band led by Tom Excell, consisting of ten musicians, who use their virtuosic musicianship, production skills, and unique sound to create music that draws from jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, dancehall, soul, reggae, and dance music!

With the band’s fourth studio album, Find Your Flame (2024), they have embarked on a musical journey resulting in over twelve tracks inspired by global grooves, soul, and jazz with electronic elements.

Impressive artists have joined as collaborators on the album, such as the iconic Nile Rodgers, who brings his mastery of disco to the single Lights Out. Other artists contributing to the album are Seun Kuti, Mamani Keita, corto.alto, Ria Moran, K.O.G. & NO ONE wonders.
