Let yourself be swept away by the groundbreaking energy of Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy! From a spontaneous recording session in a savannah church to an international tour, they have created a unique Frafra gospel that unites the spirit of a live band with modern rhythms. Their story is a true journey through creativity and cultural resonance.

Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy take you on an unforgettable journey into the world of Frafra gospel – a genre that combines spiritual power with captivating rhythms and irresistible energy. This is music that lifts the soul, gets the body moving, and has enchanted audiences around the world.

The story begins in Ghana, where the talented singer Alogte Oho met producer Max Weissenfeldt. Together they created a brand-new sound – a blend of Frafra gospel, reggae, and afrobeat, played by a live band called Sounds of Joy. Through experimentation and pure musical magic, the song “Zota Yinne” was born – a track that quickly gained cult status in reggae sound systems and became a sought-after collector’s item.

The success did not stop there. Max took his entire big band to Ghana, toured with Alogte, and together they crafted an entirely new soundscape for Frafra gospel. The single “Mam Yinne Wa” became a hit, and in 2019, the long-awaited album of the same name was released. With his soulful voice, strong melodies, and energetic performances, Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy have graced festival stages across Europe, including Roskilde and the Worldwide Festival.

This is not just music – it’s an experience. A celebration of life, faith, and pure musical joy. Don’t miss your chance to see Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy live.
