Buzz' Ayaz

Buzz' Ayaz is a band formed by musicians from both the eastern and western sides of Cyprus, blending psychedelia, rock, and blues. The band is signed to the German record label Glitterbeat Records, which also has Altın Gün and Gaye Su Akyol under its roster.

Anatolian rock and psychedelia are taking the music world by storm with these bands – and Buzz' Ayaz is the latest addition to the storm!

Buzz' Ayaz will release their debut album in September 2024, and the debut single "Zali" is already out. The website Joyzine describes the song as:

"The track is an uplifting whirlwind of positive vibes... a treat for the ears; especially in the crescendo where the collision between folk and psychedelia becomes an intoxicating blend."

Psychedelia means mind-expanding (from Greek; psykhe- (mind) and delos (clear, visible)). With drumming reminiscent of rhythms from tribes, call-and-response between organ and clarinet, and the elastic stamina of the tzouras (string instrument) – the instrumental play can evoke both floating and daydreaming!
