Zimbabwe's hottest band - Mokoomba  - is returning to Cosmopolite to give the audience explosive rhythms, and infectious, danceable music inspired by the genres of afrobeat and afrogrooves, zamrock, and chimurenga!

Mokoomba has been a six-man band since 2008 and performed at Cosmopolite in 2014. The band has continued to develop their sound, and their latest project, the album Tusona, is said to be their most danceable album yet!

The band has reclaimed Zimbabwe's musical identity with their latest album. Tusona celebrates the traditions of the Luvale people, ranging from giving thanks for the harvest to the Makisi festival where dancers wearing masks and incredible costumes merge with the spirits of the ancestors to guide boys into manhood.
