The Harlem Spirit of Gospel By Anthony Morgan

This year it is becoming tradition, that we will hear beautiful gospel from Harlem, filling the halls at Cosmopolite in time for Christmas! We are repeating last year’s success and once again bringing the audience favorite The Harlem Spirit of Gospel By Anthony Morgan to the stage!

The choir's spiritual leader is Pastor Reene F. Washington Gardner of Memorial Baptist Church in Harlem, New York. The multi-talented artist and leader of the choir, Anthony Morgan, leads a group with a diverse expression that ranges from gospel, jazz, and pop to RnB.

Based on what the choir delivered last year, we agree with David Letterman: “This choir rocks the house!”

This is the choir that gets the audience to rise together to sing and dance to life-affirming gospel music.

“It works in every country,” says the founder of the choir, Anthony Morgan, speaking from experience from tours with the choir in all corners of the world.

The Harlem Spirit of Gospel By Anthony Morgan has performed, recorded, and toured with artists such as Sting, Billy Joel, Ike & Tina Turner, Diana Ross, RuPaul, Elton John, and Aretha Franklin!

The choir was the first ever to sing at the “Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards” and was reviewed by Billboard Magazine as follows: “The ceremony was full of ‘starpower’ thanks to The Anthony Morgan’s Inspirational Choir of Harlem.”

These unique and handpicked voices that make up the choir bring their love for God and passion for music to the stage. The New Pittsburgh Courier writes in their review from a concert:

“Morgan’s Inspirational Choir of Harlem performed hymns and gospel that left the audience spellbound. Richard Smallwood’s ‘Total Praise’ brought tears to the eyes of the audience from the beautiful performance.”
