Jul på Romsdalsk returns to Oslo for the first time since 2019! This dialect-based Christmas concert has been cherished throughout the towns and villages of the Romsdal region, and for many it has become a beloved annual tradition during the holiday season.

The project is created by five young musicians from Romsdalen, all of whom now work professionally in Norway’s major cities. In recent years, they have brought their music and their jazz roots back home by performing Christmas concerts in their local communities. Here, they present heartfelt interpretations of well-known Norwegian and English Christmas songs — all performed in the distinctive Romsdal dialect, of course.

This evening, they will perform music from their debut album “Romsdalsjul”, along with new interpretations of their favourite Christmas classics.
